Japan deflating currency at an annualized 3.6%

While China prices continue growing at the official government published 5.1%, (which means it's really more like 9%), Japan goes through deflation as they try endless stimulus after stimulus, not realizing that economic growth, not stimulus, is the only real way to exit a financial crisis.  The United States seems eager to repeat Japan's mistakes as the only exit they are willing to try is getting into more debt. No wonder Japanese save so much of their income, if they just wait, things will be cheaper.  Via StatJapan:

The consumer price index for Japan in December 2010 was 99.6(2005=100), down 0.3% from the previous month, and the same level as previous year.
